They're working in a rather comfortable format (the band, on stage, or rather, a video of the band on stage on youtube which is like 3 degrees of passive) and so I can comfortably describe this as bad. It's sort of amazing as a perfect pastiche of the hipster canon (a dash of Peaches, a sprinkle of the Fall maybe via Japanther?, and twee cuteness that makes the pussy talk non-threatening), whereas I'm hard pressed to find anything as familiar as Ear Pwr in Trecartin's work. I've seen a lot of bands a lot like Ear Pwr at a lot of wack house shows.
